Sure, you could go see Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine, the documentary about the Apple co-founder released earlier this month. But why do that when you can gaze upon a be-turtlenecked Michael Fassbender, spouting Aaron Sorkinisms and unveiling the Macintosh, NeXT, and the iMac?
That's the question that the newest trailer (it appeared on YouTube this morning) for Steve Jobs seems to be asking, as Fassbender/Jobs walks around talking (as Sorkin characters do) about computers, yells at people, and appears to deny a child's paternity.
The Danny Boyle-helmed non-doc, which had its share of bumps on the way to the multiplex, apparently seeks to rinse the taste of Kutcher out of our collective mouths. Will it succeed? Who knows — have we tired of hearing about the guy Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak (played in the film by a more-Fozzie-Bearish-than-usual Seth Rogen) says didn't even know technology? Or will we just watch Shame (again) on our iPhones for our Fassbender fix? Guess we'll find out on October 9, when the film hits theaters.
