According to the San Francisco Police Department, one unidentified victim has been taken to a local hospital after they were stabbed near Crissy Field earlier today. They are currently being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident occurred around 11:15am, per KRON4, with SFPD officials arriving shortly thereafter in response to reports of a stabbing in proximity to Yacht Road near Crissy Field in the Presidio.

After arriving at the scene, SFPD states that officers called for paramedics and rendered aid to the victim until additional emergency medical services arrived. According to police, a suspect was then subsequently located in the vicinity by one of SFPD's Marine units.

At present, SFPD has not released the suspect’s name or announced any charges related to the stabbing.

It marks the latest such incident this year for San Francisco.

Earlier this summer, as SFist previously reported, two victims were stabbed in SF’s Nob Hill. Back in March, SFist reported on two passengers who were stabbed in related incidents while riding Muni buses. Earlier that month, SFist covered the seemingly random stabbing of an elderly victim in Chinatown.
