We have a strange and possibly salacious story involving 49ers owner Jed York from over the weekend, after he was arrested Sunday in East Palestine, Ohio.

Jed York was arrested in a mobile home park at 9:35 am Sunday, as news station WKBN reported, and a human trafficking task force was apparently involved in the arrest. As KTVU reports, York was initially arrested on suspicion of engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools, but further details about this are not available.

After posting a $5,000 bond, the 46-year-old York made a court appearance Monday morning at which time a judge downgraded the charges against York to misdemeanor disorderly conduct, to which York pleaded no contest.

York also reportedly pleaded no contest to the criminal tools charge, per KTVU.

He was sentenced to one day in Columbiana County Jail for each count, with the two days to be served concurrently. He was given credit for the day already served in jail, and he was ordered to pay $1,150 in fines.

As KRON4 reports, York has ties to the local area, having been born in Youngstown, Ohio and having attended high school there.

Neither York nor the 49ers have yet to comment on the situation, and we still don't know the circumstances that led up to York's arrest.

York became principal owner of the 49ers in 2024, after serving over a decade as de facto owner of the team and as CEO going back to December 2008.

York and his wife and two sons reside in Los Altos Hills, California full time.
