- The new Sunset Night Market has been such a hit that it will double in size for its next Friday, August 30 event, growing from four blocks of Irving Street to seven blocks. Chef Martin Yan will also be back for the August 30 block party festivities from 5-10:30 pm, plus the market is adding a “beach party edition” on Saturday, September 21 from 3 pm to dusk at the Great Highway and Taraval Street. - 49ers receiver Brandon Aiyuk has requested a trade, after leading the team with more than 1,300 receiving yards last season. Aiyuk is in the final year of his five-year rookie contract, which will pay him north of $14 million this season, but the wide receiver market has exploded in value, and Aiyuk wants a piece of that action. That said, the same thing happened with Deebo Samuel last year, and it all got worked out before the season started. [ESPN]
- Supervisor Hillary Ronen is having a high-profile political rift with her progressive ally Supervisor Aaron Peskin, and she just resigned her position as chair of the Board of Supervisors Rules Committee. Ronen opposes Peskin’s ballot measure to allow police to collect both salary and pension at the same time, which she tried to scuttle in committee, but Peskin is maneuvering it through anyway. Ronen told Mission Local she is “unsure” if she’ll still support Peskin’s campaign for mayor. [Mission Local]
- The smash hit musical Hamilton is coming back yet again from November 27 to January 5 at the Orpheum, and the (much cheaper this time) tickets go on sale at 10 am Monday, July 22. [Chronicle]

- New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez was found guilty on all counts in his corruption trial that involved gold bars and a free Mercedes-Benz from Egyptian and Qatari officials. [ABC News]
