The thunderstorms that Roberta Gonzalez promised us earlier this week did arrive last night, at least to our east, and not with much rain. CBS Sacramento caught the footage above from their cameras, aiming south, in the early morning hours. There were a reported 150 lightning strikes throughout the Bay Area, according to NBC Bay Area, some around the San Joaquin Valley and some in the East and South Bays, but no reported fires! So that's good.
But there's a red-flag warning today for the western slopes of the Sierras where more thunderstorm activity is expected, and where things remain pretty dry and crispy.
