This inarguably lovable, 54-foot-tall rubber duckie has made its way around the world for years. The brainchild of 30-year-old Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman, the inflatable duck will be on display in Hong Kong until June 9. So far it's been to to Osaka, Sydney, Sao Paolo and Amsterdam. But please, rubber duckie, come bathe in the San Francisco Bay!
According to the artist, the duck has revolutionized the way people view public spaces -- an issue close to the heart of many Bay Area ilk. Hofman explained to the South China Morning Post that he wants his art to "kidnap" public spaces and change the way residents think about them.
"Hong Kong has been changed forever," Hofman told the NY Daily News.
The duck will remain in Hong Kong until June 9th. It will make a pitstop in the U.S., but the location of the duck is being kept secret until a week prior to bath time. Fingers crossed that it come here, folks.
