MUSIC: Legendary '90s Bay Area garage band, The Mummies, whom SF Weekly say "took stripped-down, amped-up guitar pop to heights of volume, satire, and obnoxiousness, coining the phrase 'budget rock' to describe its music," hit the Knockout, along with The Hondettes and DJ Russell Quan. (10 p.m., The Knockout, 3223 Mission)
FILM: Tonight's the final screening of the season at Top of the Mark's Classic SF Film Night, featuring '70s Clint Eastwood gem, Escape from Alcatraz, paired with Brancott & Ravenswood. (5:30 p.m., Top of the Mark Lounge, 1 Nob Hill)
COMEDY: Comedian W. Kamau Bell and friend and sometime collaborator rapper / activist Boots Riley explore the "in conversation" format tonight, in which they'll discuss their careers and lives, hopefully resulting in a "raw, insightful, profound, poignant, militant and most of all, hilarious" evening. All proceeds from this show benefit the Laughter Against the Machine national tour and documentary. (8 to 9:30 p.m., Stagewerx, 533 Sutter)
