-- Post-Postcard 11: the 11th Annual Small Format Art Sale: At this event, you are the artist and your work is on display. "Artists are encouraged to submit small format multiples--whether that be a series of hand-made paintings or a stack of production run postcards." Plus, this is the perfect SF-y place to go to buy your holiday cards. The postcard kickoff goes from 6-9p at the Lab; free admission. Also, cash/checks accepted; $20 minimum for VISA/MC purchases.

-- The Music Lovers: Described as "grown-up pop" and "like a Britpop Phil Spector," this indie-rock outfit will charm the pants right off you or (better yet) your date. Along with the Young Moderns, Raymonda, and DJs Jun & Ping, they go on at 9 p.m. at Amnesia; $6.

-- Dirty Dancing (1987) "No one puts Baby in a corner," etcetera, etcetera, and so forth. An added bonus: aside from a pre-nose job Jennifer Grey and pre-facelift Patrick Swayze, the film also brought together the awesome talents that are Jerry Orbach (RIP!) and Kelly Bishop [Baby's blue-collar hating parents]). Screens at 9 p.m. at the Castro Theatre; $6-9.

-- Amy Woloszyn's Fundraiser: Local cyclist, artist, and active Bike Coalition member was "run over by a drunk driver while riding her bicycle three weeks ago ... on Capp Street at 23rd Street." She received fractured skull, lacerated liver, cuts and bruises. That sucks. So, help out a sister out at her benefit featuring art, service auction (i.e., paintings, massages, etc.), a bake sale, music performances, and more. Starts at 6 p.m. at Balazo Gallery; donations accepted.
