-- KrOB'S Film Farm -- Faust (1994): Jan Švankmajer's version of Faust, using Goethe's and Christopher Marlowe's tales as well as heaps of surrealism, screens tonight at 8 p.m. at Chez Poulet, Cesar Chavez (Army) and Mission Streets; free.

-- Minnie Driver: Why should you see her? Well, she has an Oscar nomination under her belt. Granted, it's for the XY-heavy emo-porn shitfest Good Will Hunting -- but Driver's got an Oscar nomination nonetheless. You should be so lucky to be so close to a star of such magnitude on a Monday night. Oh, and she's blessed with amazingly gorgeous vocal cords and shows them off tonight at 9 p.m. at Cafe Du Nord, Market and Sanchez Streets; $17, $20.

-- Talk Show Live: San Francisco: SF's very own talk show that's not on TV, or something like that. Anyway, it stars comedian Gary Cannon, Ethan Watters, co-founder of the Writers' Grotto; and local actress Cameron Galloway. Ned Boynton and the North Beach Irregulars provide the beats in between the side-splitting laughter. Show starts at 7:30 p.m. at the famed Purple Onion, Columbus and Pacific; $15.

-- "I Haight Mondays": DJs Jupiter Henry and Freddie Future pump out hip hop beats for the young kids who like to dance, hump. Music starts at 10 p.m. at Underground SF, Haight and Webster Streets; free.
