The "Healthy Park's Initiative" (that title polled much better than "Traffic Congestion Saturday!") now goes before Gavin who gave this definitive response: "There's a chance of a veto. There's a chance I support it. There's a chance it'll end up on the ballot." He then quickly rushed off to another Hollywood dinner with his hot girlfriend. This means too that bikers have now moved up several places on the San Francisco Politically Correct Interest Group charts with a bullet, vaulting over the disabled, the elderly, neighborhoods, and Step-Mothers Whose Son Wrote a Nasty Book About Them. Mazel tov, bikers.

While the people on SFWall.net fret about Muni service and traffic and the Chron chides the supporters of the "Healthy Park Initiative" for going against the will of the voters, we'll leave it up to this Letter to the Editor in yesterday's SF Examiner to sum it all up:

"Opponents should ... please stop claiming that the will of the voters was ignored. Some things are simply not for voters to decide. What if this same motorist-majority proposed legislation to ban pedestrians from the park? What if they came up with a measure to eliminate all parking fees? Should The City acquiesce?"

Reverand.
