Defendant Nima Momeni took the stand in his own defense Wednesday, in a move that could prove damaging to the defense, depending on how his cross-examination plays out.

Accused killer Nima Momeni took the stand Wednesday morning to tell his version of events in the April 2023 killing of Bob Lee, claiming he turned the knife on Lee in self-defense.

Under cross-examination Tuesday, the friend who was with Nima Momeni's sister on the day before Bob Lee's murder told prosecutors that Khazar Momeni has a tendency to exaggerate.

In the Nima Momeni trial on Wednesday, the prosecution rolled out the grainy Nest camera footage they have had since early in the case, showing what appears to be the moment Momeni stabbed Bob Lee three times.

The tone of things became more combative Wednesday in the courtroom where Nima Momeni is being tried for the April 2023 murder of Cash App founder Bob Lee.
