The Morgan Hill mother of three who was allegedly killed by her husband in a domestic violence incident that began on Friday has been identified, and court documents now reveal some of horrific details of what occurred.

We now know the identity of the woman who arrived in grave condition at San Jose's Good Samaritan Hospital Saturday morning, with her husband walking into the Emergency Room and allegedly admitting, "I killed my wife." Friends and family have identified the victim as 34-year-old Jasmyne Garcia on a GoFundMe page that describes her as a "devoted mother" whose "greatest joy was being [a] mom."

As Bay Area News Group reports, she has also been identified as Jasmyne Lopez, with her husband's surname, in court documents.

The suspect is 37-year-old Roy Anthony Lopez, and he was arraigned Wednesday on charges of murder and child endangerment. Lopez and Garcia's three children, ages 14, 6, and 3, were all reportedly home when the domestic violence incident began on Friday, October 2. According to statements, the 14-year-old son says that his father was intoxicated, and that when he asked if he could go ride bikes with a friend, Lopez cornered him, "grabbed him by the neck, and slammed his head against the bed multiple times."

The boy then left the house, and the only direct witness to what then occurred was reportedly the six-year-old son who hid under a bed, who told investigators, "Daddy got mad."

Lopez allegedly beat his wife so severely that she was "unrecognizable" and incapacitated on the floor of the parents' bedroom, "unable to speak" and "groaning in pain." According to the police report by Detective Kyle Tolentino, the boy said his mother was unable to care for herself and defecated while on the floor, and she was apparently left lying there overnight, losing and regaining consciousness repeatedly.

Per KRON4, the teen had found the house a mess, with ample evidence of a major fight. "He observed blood throughout the residence, holes in the walls, water throughout the kitchen, a tipped-over water dispenser, and other signs consistent with disturbance," Tolentino writes.

Saturday morning around 9:20 am, presumably after he had sobered up, Lopez, covered in blood, allegedly put his wife in the car and drove her to the hospital, where ER personnel found her in the parking lot. She soon succumbed to her injuries.

"This is an incredibly tragic case. Mr. Lopez killed his wife by beating her to death in front of their two small children, and her oldest child then came home to find his mother in very critical condition," said Deputy District Attorney Barbara Cathcart in a statement after the arraignment, per Bay Area News Group. “Despite her being in that condition, she was not taken to the hospital for several hours."

Lopez reportedly did not enter a plea Wednesday, and Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Hector Ramon remanded him to jail, scheduling the next court date for December 15.

The three children are now in the custody of the Santa Clara County Department of Family and Children’s Services. The GoFundMe has so far raised $19,000 for their ongoing care.
