The burnt remains of Anu Anand Hobson, missing since Valentine’s Day, were found in Fresno County. And it does not look good for her husband, who’s been charged with murder.
It was February 17 when the Fairfield Police Department sent an alert asking for the public’s assistance in “locating a couple reported missing.” That department added that “Gregory Hobson and Anu Anand Hobson are believed to be traveling together in a silver 2021 Toyota Tacoma,” and their vehicle had last been spotted “near Elk Grove Boulevard in Sacramento on Tuesday, February 14.”

A few days later, police found that silver 2021 Toyota Tacoma, with Gregory Hobson in it, but Anu Anand Hobson nowhere to be found. And police arrested Gregory Hobson for murder “based on evidence collected thus far,” they said at the time.
Now nearly three weeks later, Bay City News reports that police have found what they've determined is Anu Anand Hobson's body, and it was found burned. “The burned remains of Abu Anand Hobson, 53, were located in a rural area of Fresno County on Friday,” that source reported.
“Gregory Hobson has been charged with one count of murder and is scheduled for arraignment on Thursday March 9, 2023, at 1:30pm,” the Fairfield Police Department said in a release. “Our thoughts are with Anu’s family as they receive this heartbreaking news.”
While Dobson remains in custody, this is still considered an active investigation. If you have any information, you’re asked to call the Fairfield Police Department at (707) 428-7300.
