• Fire season is here. A four-alarm grass fire broke out in Solano County Friday afternoon. The fire near Link and Cordelia roads, east of Interstate 680 and south of Interstate 80, burned 24 acres before being contained. [Chronicle]
  • Uber driver Gebrele Amare, 23, of Oakland, has pleaded not guilty to two counts of kidnapping and sexual battery. Amare is accused in a pair of incidents in Berkeley on May 2 in which women say he tried to lock them in his car and make sexual advances on them. [Bay City News]
  • A Florida family is considering legal action against Uber after their 12-year-old daughter took an Uber ride to a parking garage where she jumped to her death. The company's policy is that it doesn't allow unaccompanied minors, but drivers say this is as an ongoing problem. [Business Insider]
