A woman waiting for the bus Wednesday morning was attacked and robbed, police say, by a skateboarding suspect who remains at large.

Police say that the crime occurred at 6:40 a.m. Wednesday, at the intersection of O'Farrell and Shannon Streets, which is between Taylor and Jones Streets.

Police say that a 54-year-old woman was waiting at a Muni stop when a male suspect who appeared to be in his early 20s approached.

The man "grabbed money out of [the victim's] hand," police say, leading to "a slight tussle" between victim and thief.

To end the confrontation, the suspect "threw [the victim] on the ground," a report from the San Francisco Police Department says. The mugger then fled in an unknown direction via skateboard.

The woman was transported to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries sustained in the assault, according to the SFPD. The suspect remains on the loose, and police say that no arrests have been made in the case.
