This year, LA VICTORIA® is celebrating 100 years of providing its signature salsas, taco sauces, enchilada sauces, and chiles in the States—that means over a century of the tastiest south-of-the-border cuisine you’ve ever laid eyes (taste-buds?) on.
Founded in 1917 by the La Baca family, the LA VICTORIA® brand shook up the food scene with their first jarred salsa in the U.S.—bringing colorful and authentic flavors to American households and restaurants then, now, and for years to come.
In celebration of its centennial anniversary, these salsa slingers and enchilada aficionados hosted modern West Coast-inspired dinner parties in four cities: San Diego, Los Angeles, Portland, and right here in San Francisco. SF’s hometown happening was filled with art, music, and a celebration of the LA VICTORIA® heritage, featuring delicious eats from chef Gustavo Romero of Calvera.
And because it wasn’t just a celebration of heritage, but of community, the makers of the LA VICTORIA® brand hosted a contest that offered local artists a chance to submit original pieces that showcased “Modern, West Coast Lifestyle,” while giving a nod to the LA VICTORIA® brand.
So gather around the dinner table and celebrate a century of jarred salsa at home! LA VICTORIA® is available in the salsa aisle of most major grocers in San Francisco, including Safeway, Albertson’s and Ralph’s.
