35-year-old Lemuel Sirvonn Wilson Jr. was arrested Sunday in connection with a fatal weekend crash in the East Bay that killed two children and left a three-month-old with major injuries.

ABC 7 reports that the crash took place on Highway 4 in Concord at around 10:55 p.m. on Friday night. According to witnesses, a suspect — later determined to be Wilson — took the Solano Way off-ramp off of Highway 4 as a woman and three children were driving in a gray 2006 Dodge Durango in the other direction. Wilson, in a grey 2004 Infinity, drove off the ramp and slammed into the rear of the Durango.

A 10-year-old boy and a 5-year-old boy were ejected from the car and both died at the scene. The 35-year-old mother was transported to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek with major injuries. The baby (ugh) was taken to Children's Hospital Oakland.

Witnesses reported that Wilson, covered in blood from his own injuries, ran from his car towards a nearby drive-in movie theater. He turned himself in to authorities on Sunday morning. He's being held on $500,000 bail on suspicion of two counts of vehicular homicide, hit and run causing great bodily injury and driving on a suspended/revoked driver's license causing injury. He is currently receiving treatment for his injuries at Highland Hospital.

"Although Wilson is in CHP custody, our investigation continues and he is innocent until proven guilty," said the CHP in a statement.

"To me, I feel like my life is over and to lose a child I love and do everything for — there's no words," Lawrence Rothenberg told CBS 5. Rothenburg is the father of 5-year-old Vincent, one of the children killed in the accident.
