A woman seeking snack foods pulled out a gun in a Tenderloin store Wednesday, so desperate was she for a salty crunch. (Hey, lady we've all been there...almost.)
Police say that the treat thief entered a store on the 500 block of Larkin Street, which is between Turk and Eddy Streets, at 4:40 p.m. Wednesday, where she "brandished a handgun" and "demanded property."
The 32-year-old female shopkeeper fled in fear, according to a report from the San Francisco Police Department.
When the store staffer mustered up the courage to return to the scene, the gun-wielding woman had left the scene...and the only thing missing, police say, were multiple cans of chips.
No one was injured in the incident, police say, and the (slightly greasy-fingered, one speculates) suspect remains at large as of Thursday morning.
