Despite plenty of evidence that people on both ends of the political spectrum drove from far and wide to do battle with each other in Berkeley on Saturday, the majority of those arrested were local, as Berkeley Police reveal today. They say, however, that they are still seeking further video evidence and still seeking to identify more suspects.

The BPD has created this Dropbox where you can upload photos or video you have from Saturday.

Meanwhile, as the Chronicle reports, Berkeley Police are facing criticism for their largely hands-off approach on Saturday, that likely resulted in more injuries and chaos.

Berkeley Mayor Jesse Arreguín issued a statement Monday, reprinted by the Daily Californian, saying, Berkeley values are rooted in the ideas of free speech and peaceful protest. Unfortunately outside groups chose Berkeley as the location for a confrontation with intentions to create violence. We are committed to bringing perpetrators of violence to justice and protecting the right for peaceful assembly. … The safety of our residents and our businesses will continue to be our top priority."

As KRON 4 reports, most of the arrests were for battery and assault with a deadly weapon, though several were arrested for "wearing a mask while committing a criminal offense."

Below, the list of arrestees — and the BPD is still seeking several suspects from the similar street fighting that broke out during an alt-right rally and counter protest on March 4.
