[Update] Lombard Street Closed As Major Collision Injures Five

Everyone is being told to avoid the area of Lombard and Divisadero after a "major collision" and subsequent investigation has shut down the thoroughfare. The SFFD tweeted the above photo from the scene, saying that Lombard will be closed for an "undetermined" amount of time.

The SFFD tweets that five people were injured in the collision, with injuries ranging from minor to critical.

A second photo from the SFFD appears to show two vehicles involved in the collision on Divisadero north of Lombard, next to the Walgreens.

Update: Officials with the SFFD inform us that the intersection will remain closed until roughly 3:00 or 4:00 p.m., hopefully reopening in time for the evening commute.
