One man is dead and a second has been hospitalized, following an early-evening double shooting in San Francisco.
Officers with the San Francsico Police Department were called to the intersection of Plymouth Avenue and Broad Street at 7:06 p.m. Friday on reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they discovered two men suffering from gunshot wounds, police say.
One victim, a man described only as in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. As of Saturday morning, he had not been publicly identified. The second, a man in his 50s, was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries police say are not life-threatening.
This is San Francisco's 42nd homicide for 2016, following four homicides last weekend and the October 1 death of a man shot in June.
