A man walking on an infamously troubled San Francisco street was robbed Monday afternoon, attacked by a mugger who crept up on his headphone-wearing prey.
The 37-year-old victim was walking near Folsom Street and San Francisco's notorious Sixth Street at around 3 p.m. Monday "with headphones on," according to a report from the San Francisco Police Department.
Suddenly, he was "sucker-punched" from behind by a man in his early 20s, police say. Following the blow, the suspect grabbed the man's "Bose headphones" and fled on foot.
According to the SFPD, the now-headphoneless man was injured in the attack, but refused medical attention.
As of Tuesday afternoon, no arrests had been made in this case, and police say that the suspect remains at large.
