More housing is on the way, with SocketSite reporting that a 47-unit Polk Gulch development is poised to be approved this week by the Planning Commission. Designed by JS Sullivan Development, the building will replace a City Rent-a-Car currently at 1433 Bush Street, and, according to submitted plans, is estimated to cost $10,000,000 to build.
With two commercial spaces on the ground floor, the 11-story condo development will have room for a restaurant facing Fern Street.

JS Sullivan has built numerous projects around San Francisco, and according to their website focuses on "the development and construction of new small to medium sized in-fill mixed use projects." As San Francisco's population continues to grow, and more and more people continue to squeeze into a city that isn't getting any bigger, in-fill developments like the one at Bush are becoming a more common sight.
