It is really summer and Bay Area residents are feeling the heat with some triple-digit temperatures sizzling in the deep East Bay and South Bay Monday. Tuesday is forecast to be about the same according to KPIX/CBS 5, with high pressure off the coast keeping up an onshore flow of air that isn't strong enough to reach inland — it is keeping San Francisco at a typical June high temp of 69 today.

On Tuesday, downtown SF will hit 73 according to SF Gate, but it's going to be 100 in Livermore today and tomorrow, and 101 in Antioch, and up to 106 in Brentwood.

Similarly, San Jose and much of the South Bay is going to be in the upper 90's, but they're used that.

Heading into the July 4th weekend, temperatures will come down a bit inland but remain pretty steady and typical in the city — it's supposed to be sunny and clear on Monday the Fourth according to Weather Underground, but only hit a high of 63.

And will there be fog this year to ruin the fireworks? Probably.
