The five-alarm fire that burned through upwards of six buildings on Mission and 29th Street has long been extinguished, but the damage to persons and property is far from resolved. Fifty-eight people were displaced in the June 18 blaze, and while thankfully no one was seriously injured, not only are 58 people now homeless but nine business have been displaced.

New drone video posted to YouTube by Alan Musselman, embedded above, shows from the air the destruction wrought by the fire. With Mission Street at the top of the frame, the backside of the burned-out buildings is depicted in painstaking detail.

Those interested in helping the victims of the fire can donate to a GoFundMe page established by once D10 candidate Edwin Lindo. At present, $45,000 has been raised. El Rio, a bar located just blocks from the fire, is also hosting a fundraiser this Thursday.
