A three-alarm fire is burning this a.m. that has spread to two residential buildings in the Mission, near Dolores Park via tweets and ABC 7 chopper footage, the fire looks to be primarily still burning inside 3525 17th Street and possibly spread earlier to the building next door.
There were reportedly no injuries, and the extent of the damage is unclear, but live footage suggests the fire is still smoldering and being extinguished.
According to CBS 5, "Arriving firefighters encountered flames shooting out of the roof and heavy smoke. The closeness of the nearby apartment buildings elevated the response from one to three alarms."
More details as we get them.
Update: Mission Local reports, via an SFFD spokesperson, that the fire also affected 3517 17th Street, and seems to have burned at the rear of both buildings. The fire was fully contained as of 9:42 a.m. It's unclear how many people might be displaced.
