Fancy yourself good at Instagram? Like, really, really good? Well, then Netflix has some news for you. The video streaming and TV and film production company is on the hunt for "Grammasters" (seriously, that's what they're calling them) to document the sets of its in-house films and shows — and the company is paying. At $2,000 a week, this could finally be your opportunity to prove all those haters wrong and show the world that beauty is truly in your beholding eye.
"We’re looking for TV & movie fans with a talent for taking pictures," the aggressively 21st century job listing reads. "Choose photos that show off your interests or passions. Grammasters will travel for two weeks, visiting the sets of popular shows, films, and even Netflix originals."
As this is the future and everything, all you have to do to apply is tag three of your best photos with the "grammasters3" hashtag. But act fast! The company will stop accepting submission on March 6. After that date, according to the wonderful terms and conditions, "[on] or about March 11, 2016, Netflix will select 25 finalists" and later narrow that down to a final six (although maybe only four — the aforementioned terms state that the company is looking for six people, but later in the terms lists the number as four).
But, sorry to break it to all you of the founders generation, no one under 21 years old need apply. Oh, and just in case it isn't obvious at the outset: Yes, Grammasters will excitedly be part of the 1099 economy, as the job is paid as an independent contractor, thus the healthy weekly wage.
Ready, set, gram!
