Muni is clearly having a bad day. Following on the heels of a morning derailment of the M on 19th and Holloway Avenues, we learn of the above scene involving a Muni bus at Ocean and Phelan Avenues. While at this point we're unclear as to the circumstances surrounding the collision, it appears that somehow a truck ended up on top a sedan.
Muni, for its part, says that the pictured bus wasn't involved in the crash but the 49 is being forced to reroute as a result.
KTVU has it that "a vehicle rear-ended another vehicle and [somehow] they got stuck on a Muni bus." It's really, really unclear how it ended up in that position, though.
NBC Bay Area is reporting that one person suffered minor injuries.
ATTN: Due to an ealier non Muni collision near Ocean and Phelan, southbound 49 switching back at Persia. Use the 29 as alt.
