A 21-year-old man is fighting for his life, after he was injured in a shooting at one corner of Dolores Park.

According to the San Francisco Police Department, their ShotSpotter system alerted them to gunshots at 18th and Dolores Streets, which is at the northeastern edge of Dolores Park, at 1:22 a.m. Sunday.

When officers arrived, they found shell casings from a handgun at the scene, but that was about it. At the same time, however, a man "showed up" at San Francisco General Hospital with a gunshot wound to his chest. Upon investigation, police connected the two incidents, and believe that at least one of the shots fired in the Mission ended up in SF General's Emergency Room patient.

According to SFPD, the man's injuries are life-threatening, but as of Monday morning he's hanging in there.
