Two men are recovering at the hospital today, after an early-morning shooting outside a South of Market nightclub.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, police were called to the 300 block of 11th Street at 1:36 a.m. on reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds: A 22-year-old man who'd been shot in the thigh, and a 30-year-old who'd been shot in the butt.
Both men were standing outside an area nightclub when they were shot by "unknown suspects" wielding a handgun, police say. That block of 11th, which is between Folsom and Harrison, is known for its multitude of nightclubs, including Slim's, the DNA Lounge, Audio, and Beatbox. Per SFPD policy, police would not confirm which of the businesses the men were in front of when they were shot.
Both of the victims were transported to the hospital, police say, with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
Witnesses say the suspects were in a "dark sedan," possibly a Chevrolet Malibu, police say. They had no other information on the suspects, and say that no arrests have been made.
As always, police ask that anyone with information on the shooting call SFPD's anonymous tip line at 415- 575-4444 or to text a tip to TIP411 with "SFPD" at the beginning of the message.
