Two women are recovering this morning, after they were struck by drivers in two separate collisions across San Francisco Thursday night.

At 6:38 p.m. Thursday, a 35-year-old woman was struck in SoMa at Harrison and Sherman Streets, which is near Seventh Street.

According to a San Francisco Fire Department spokesperson, the pedestrian sustained minor injuries and was transported to Saint Francis Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Eight minutes later, at 6:46, another woman was struck by a driver. This time the collision occurred at Visitacion Avenue and Peabody Street, just a few blocks from Bayshore Boulevard.

This time, the victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment of her injuries, which were not considered life-threatening, an SFFD official said.

A call to the San Francisco Police Department (which investigates all SF traffic collisions) for more details on the circumstances of both crashes was not returned at publication time.
