Day Around The Bay: Allegedly Murderous Drifters Plead Not Guilty


  • Those three drifters who are accused of two October murders, one in SF and one in Marin, were arraigned in a Marin County court today and all three entered not guilty pleas. [KTVU]
  • A partially clothed woman, wearing only underwear, went wandering across the lower deck of the Bay Bridge toward Oakland yesterday evening during rush hour, causing a traffic backup. She was apprehended and taken to SF General. [ABC 7]
  • Federal agent "David Jordan" testified further in the Shrimp Boy trial yesterday and today, and today prosecutors played a recorded phone call they say proves Shrimp Boy's direct involvement in illegal liquor sales. [Chron]
  • The "drone film fest", actually called the Flying Robot Film Festival, happens tonight at the Roxie in the Mission, and it is sold out. [Chron]
  • The Noise Pop lineup is out, and for 2016 they're branching out into jazz and hip-hop. [KQED]
  • Small (but not micro) apartments could go into this Tenderloin auto shop space. [Business Times]
  • The Vida Apartments on Mission and 22nd just got vandalized again, and the vandal had his or her action caught on video so that he or she could make sure everyone knew this was an act of protest against gentrification. [Mission Local]
  • In an effort to keep her alleged rapist from being able to re-enroll at the school, a UC Berkeley student holds a public protest against the former student she says raped her, publicly identifying him. [ABC 7]
