It's unclear if anyone was lying during a dispute at a Tenderloin food establishment last week, but one thing is certain: The incident ended with someone's pants on fire.

Bay City News reports that a woman walked into a store on the 300 block of Golden Gate Avenue (which is between Larkin and Hyde) at 2:05 a.m. Thursday and ordered some food.

According to the San Francisco Police Department, when the food arrived, she refused to pay for her meal, and eventually left the premises.

A few minuted later, she "returned to the store, apparently carrying a pair of pants that were on fire," BCN reports. She threw the flaming pants on the floor of the store and ran out. She has not been seen since.

Police ask that if anyone knows anything about this strange case, they contact SFPD's anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or text-a-tip to TIP411 with "SFPD" at the beginning of the message.
