It was going to rain. Really it was! Like, a lot. But, you see...
While Mother Nature appeared to be planning on it, today's rainstorm appears instead to be an amorphous fog-like drizzle. Come again another day: El Niño, we're assured, is on the way, even if this wasn't exactly it.
Fortunately, this morning's showers persisted long enough for a rainbow, which appeared in a clearing sky to provide Instagrammers with some magical shots around San Francisco. No filter was necessary, when has that ever stopped anyone?
