A site called Metrocosm gathered every shoot notice posted or distributed to San Francisco city residents since early 2013 to create this interactive map. The map is an interesting snapshot of just how much filming has gone on here in two short years, and if you click into the filming notices themselves, you can gather details about how much money was spent on SFPD details for different shoots (the Ant-Man production team paid $73,000 for police help), and what permissions were required of residents for things like helicopter fly-overs, etc.
There are shoots included here for a couple dozen recently released movies like Diary of a Teenage Girl, Terminator: Genisys, San Andreas, and the upcoming Sean Astin film Unleashed.
Metrocosm also notes that the majority of shoots have occurred downtown around the Financial District on the north side of Market Street, but as you can see from the map below, film crews have spent plenty of time elsewhere too.
