And with the weekend came the crowds to Golden Gate Park. All in all a pleasant, fun seeking bunch, the throngs teemed from the main stage for acts like venerable rocker Billy Idol (who wisely stuck to his hits) to the farther-reaching area for groups like The Black Keys and GastroMagic area, where brunch was indeed served.
The weather remained surprisingly temperate, a little muggy and occasionally overcast but never cold. The strangest news of the day was the cancellation of the Fantastic Negrito show after issues with allegedly misappropriated wristbands (read more about that here). But even that cancellation couldn't dampen the mood of attendees just happy to be out, together, having a blast.
