A 3.3 magnitude earthquake struck the Bay Area at 1:26 this afternoon, with a jolt that was felt in San Francisco and beyond.

According to the US Geological Survey, the quake had an epicenter 8 miles south-southwest of Mill Valley, 9 miles west of San Francisco, and 9 miles northwest of of Daly City, as well as a depth of 6.9 miles.

A quick survey of Twitter shows reactions centered mainly in San Francisco, with a few scattered south, east, and north. The USGS's Did You Feel It map suggests the same.

I definitely felt it in the Outer Sunset — it felt like a quick jolt to the west, like the floor took a little skip. Did you feel it?
