Two men are dead after separate early-morning attacks in San Francisco last weekend, but in both cases suspect and victim information is sketchy, at best.
At 5:50 a.m. Saturday, San Francisco Police Department officers were called to Fulton and Larkin Streets, at the east end of Civic Center Plaza.
When officers arrived, they discovered a man suffering from at least one stab wound near the Main branch of the San Francisco Public Library. He was transported to San Francisco General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Then on Sunday at 6:30 a.m., police were called to John McLaren Park on reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they discovered a man who had been fatally shot, police say.
Citing family notification issues, the San Francisco Medical Examiner's Office has yet to publicly identify either victim. Similarly, the San Francisco Police Department did not have any details to offer in either victim, nor did they have any information to add on the circumstances surrounding either death.
According to police, no arrests had been made in the case and no suspect information was immediately available. They ask that anyone with information on either slaying to call the SFPD's anonymous tip line at 415-575-4444 or to send a tip by text message to TIP411 with "SFPD" in the message.
