San Francisco suffered its eleventh homicide of 2015 Wednesday, when a thus-far unidentified person was shot and killed on a Bayview street.
At 10:06 p.m. Wednesday, San Francisco Police Department officers were called to the 1400 block of Quint Street on reports of a shooting, police spokesperson Sergeant Monica MacDonald says.
When officers arrived, they discovered a person who had been struck by gunfire. At publication time, MacDonald could not specify age, gender, or other details of the victim.
Though paramedics responded, MacDonald says that the shooting victim died at the scene.
MacDonald did not have any information on any possible suspects in or a motive for the slaying.
Meanwhile, the San Francisco Medical Examiner has identified the victim of San Francisco's tenth homicide, Bay City News reported Wednesday.
36-year-old San Francisco woman (not a man, as previously reported) Taja De Jesus was found stabbed to death in a stairway on the 1400 block of McKinnon Avenue on Sunday morning.
Witnesses describe her killer as "a black man standing about 6 feet 1 inch tall, wearing a black jacket and shorts." At publication time, no arrests have been made.
