SFist is getting a report — from former editor Brock Keeling, in fact — that a shooting has just occurred this afternoon at Turk and Leavenworth in the Tenderloin.

SFPD officers are on the scene and investigating, and the entire intersection is closed to traffic. The incident appears to have happened in the corner store pictured.

Details are few, and injuries or any possible fatalities are unknown at this time.

SFist is awaiting word back from the SFPD to clarify what happened.

Update: Officer Grace Gatpandan has confirmed the shooting and says that two individuals sustained "major injuries." The incident happened just after 1 p.m. The condition of the victims is unknown, and no suspects have been identified.

As always, anyone who was in the area or who has information about the crime is asked to call 415-575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411 with SFPD at the start of the message.
