They might be a bit overshadowed today by the Coachella lineup announcement, but Napa's little music festival that could, BottleRock, made its own announcement today. In keeping with the 2013 and 2014 lineups, this year's BottleRock lineup has a hefty dose of retro acts in the mix, including Robert Plant, No Doubt, Snoop Dogg, Spearhead, and Public Enemy. But unlike last year, the lineup is full of younger acts with decently large audiences as well, like The Avett Brothers, Imagine Dragons, Capital Cities, and Passion Pit.

The fest, which happens the weekend after Memorial Day — this year the dates are May 29 to 31 — began their second year trying to cater a bit more to VIP guests, given the VIP nature of much Napa itself. With that in mind, 3-day VIP passes will be selling for $575, almost double the price of regular 3-day passes, and a "platinum" experience that was limited to only 300 people last year is selling for $2500.

And you may recall that the inaugural fest in 2013 ran into a bunch of financial issues, but with this third year's event moving forward it's clear that 2014's festival did a fair bit better.

Tickets go on sale Thursday morning, January 8, at 10 a.m., however if you're a Citibank cardholder, you can enter the first 6 digits of your card under "promotional code" and access some pre-sale tickets.

Here's the complete lineup. The day-by-day schedule won't get released for a bit.
