Queen of Everything Oprah Winfrey made an appearance at a Q&A on Sunday at the Castro Theatre in conjunction with a screening of Selma, the new Martin Luther King biopic in which she appears. As Hoodline reports, Winfrey popped into Poesia for dinner afterwards, and by the time she came out there were crowds gathered to take pictures and generally scream their faces off.

Observe:

In Selma, Oprah plays renowned civil rights activist Annie Lee Cooper, famous for having punched a Selma sheriff in the mouth in 1965 outside a courthouse where she was denied the ability to register to vote.

Oprah appeared Sunday on stage with director Ava DuVernay and fellow cast member David Oyelowo as part of a SF Film Society members-only screening of the film.

Below, please see one very committed Oprah fan go apoplectic after getting a hug from the Queen herself.
