According to a spokesperson from the San Francisco Police Department, a third suspect has been arrested in a Bayview double shooting that killed one man and injured another.
19-year-old Fotu Paopao Jr. and an unidentified male juvenile were already in custody for the shooting of 19-year-old Latrell Shaw and an unidentified 27-year-old man at a September 5 neighborhood event on Nichols Way, a street in the Alice Griffith Housing Complex.
Shaw succumbed to his injuries at San Francisco General Hospital shortly after the shooting. The 27-year-old victim was treated at SF General and was later released.
And now, SFPD spokesperson Officer Albie Esparza says today, 19-year-old Maselusi Falesoga has also been arrested for the crime, raising the suspects-in-custody count to three.
Falesoga was booked at San Francisco County Jail on one count of murder on Monday, Esparza says today, joining Paopao, who was booked last week on the same changes. The juvenile suspect, about whom Esparza could tell us no more due to laws protecting minors, "was also booked for one count of murder at the juvenile Justice Center" last week, Esparza says.
According to Esparza, this investigation is still ongoing, with "pending identification matters" that continue to prevent SFPD from providing us with Paopao's or Falesoga's booking photos.
As always, Esparza says, anyone with information on the homicide is urged to contact SFPD anonymously at 415-575-4444 or to text-a-tip to TIP411 with SFPD at the start of the message.
