Surrounded by Golden Gate Park's towering eucalyptus trees, there's no denying the festival's innate beauty, so long as you don't look down at all the trash left on the ground. The always-safe lineup provides something for everyone, as most of the major festivals do these days, from nostalgic rock to electronic music. This year also featured more hip-hop, including Kanye West, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Run The Jewels, Big Freedia, and Atmosphere. But it was mostly the same overall: a lot of walking; a lot of young, drunk, white dudes; and a lot of amazing food and wine options.
The below picture of actor Patrick Stewart, who was at the festival to perform with the Improvised Shakespeare Company, sums up how I felt much of the weekend.
And as SFist previously reported, Kim Kardashian was there to cheer on her husband, capturing one of the better images of West's Friday night set, in which the rapper hid behind a mask and flashing strobes for most of the lackluster performance.
