Noted local photog The Tens got up close to the facade of Mid-Market's shuttered Merrill's Drugs, which, according to Mister SF, "lost the drugstore wars to Walgreen's and Rite-Aid" and closed a decade ago.
The 1091 Market Street spot was the chain's last San Francisco store. It had been open in that spot since 1949, and closed on June 11, 2004.
