As a public service announcement, SFist would like to remind you, the semi-blasphemous drag fan, that recent construction in Dolores Park has moved this year's Hunky Jesus pageant to a temporary home in Golden Gate Park.
The annual party, put on by the always lovely Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, kicks off at 11:45 a.m. this Sunday in Hellman Hollow (née Speedway Meadow). The crucifixion of our lord and savior, however, happens later in the afternoon at 3:35 p.m. In addition to the usual pageant starring Son of Man impersonators, this year's event includes an all new Foxy Mary contest. (Whether that's Mary Magdalene or the virgin one is apparently up to you.)
