Just after 8 a.m. Sunday, a man in his sixties was struck by a Gray Line tour bus while crossing Mission Street at Seventh Street in SoMa. According to one witness speaking to NBC Bay Area, the bus driver may have been trying to make the red light. The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries.

Three tourists were on the bus when it stuck the man. The bus driver remained at the scene to cooperate with investigators and according to a statement from Gray Line Tours, the incident is the first of its sort for the 25-year-old company.
