There's a suspect still on the loose in a potentially fatal stabbing that occurred near Polk and Post Streets late Friday night/early Saturday. The victim, a 30-year-old male, got into some sort of altercation with the suspect and was stabbed multiple times at about 1 a.m. on Saturday.
The suspect, described as a black man in his 20s, about 6 feet 175 pounds, in a dark jacket wearing jeans and dark gloves, fled down Post Street toward Larkin and has not yet been found, as Bay City News reports.
The victim suffered what were initially life-threatening injuries, but was taken to the hospital and is now expected to survive.
The incident follows on a relatively quiet couple of months, stabbing-wise, though two victims were stabbed early last month on Pier 7.
