Early Monday morning two people were stabbed around 4 a.m. near a public toilet outside the Waterfront Restaurant and Cafe at Pier 7 on the Embarcadero. A male victim was found stabbed twice in the chest a few blocks South near Pier 5, while a female victim was found at the scene with injuries to her leg and back.

According to the Chronicle, the man found near Pier 5 was taken to San Francisco General to be treated for life-threatening injuries. The woman's injuries were not considered life-threatening, but according to KRON4, the apparent victim was not cooperating with police.

According to local Fox affiliate KTVU2, the two possiblyhomeless victims were hanging out near Pier 7 and the public toilet when a third person attacked them for some reason. As of this morning, officers were still on the lookout for an assailant, but crab fisherman in the area described the suspect as a six-foot-tall man who they believe had been drinking. The suspect was seen brandishing a knife and picking fights with other people in the area. No arrests have been made.
