Afternoon Palate Cleanser: Hard French Winter Ball, The Promo

You may recall the positively inspired, elaborate, excellently executed short film by Aron Kantor (a.k.a. DirtyGlitter) that was made last year to promote Hard French's annual Winter Ball in Santa Cruz. Well, the gang is back, this time with a wacky, public-access-television-style, switching-channels montage of nonsequitors that is equally well produced, with a big cast of characters including a cat pole-dancing instructor, bitchy critics of child models (played by Kevin Clarke and Mr. David), the cast of a Latina version of Heathers, and Juanita MORE as deranged newscaster Veronica Kuka-Flores.

The Hard French Winter Ball is happening this Saturday, February 22, at the Coconut Grove Ballroom on the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Get your tickets here. Accomodations may still be available at the Hotel Paradox at a discount group rate.
